Recently, JWT China developed, in coordination with the association Baby Back Home, an app meant to help parents find their kidnapped or lost children.

Each year 20.000 kids are abducted in China. They are sold into slave labor and prostitution, or end up begging in the streets. In a huge country like China with over 1.4 billion people it is nearly impossible to find all these missing children.

L’application Snapchat vient de trouver un nouvel investisseur

Snapchat est un réseau façon Instagram où l’on partage ses photos, sauf qu’ici ils s’autodétruisent, comme dans « Mission impossible ». C’est le meilleur moyen de partager un moment sur ​​iPhone – jusqu’à 10x plus rapide que par MMS. Snapchat vient de parafer un nouveau financement à hauteur de 100 millions dollar, grâce à un fond d’investissements privé. Il sera valorisé à 500 millions dollar après ce financement, alors qu’il y a quatre mois il ne valait que 70 millions.

Selon The Washington Post et The Guardian, L’Agence américaine pour la sécurité nationale (National Security Agency) collecte les données issues des échanges électroniques des internautes non-Américains.

Planning Tool for Resource Integration, Synchronization, and Management (PRISM) est un programme américain de collecte de renseignements étrangers à partir des différents fournisseurs de services électroniques, autorisé dans le cadre de la loi pour surveillance et le renseignement à l’étranger (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act ), géré par la NSA.

Pheed mieux que Facebook ou Twitter?

Pheed, n’est pas encore très connu en France, mais fait concurrence à Facebook aux Etats-Unis, devançant même celui-ci en termes de téléchargements sur Apple Store.  « Pheed, Express Yourself » est un réseau social davantage tourné vers la communication de contenus artistiques,  la page d’accueil reflètant bien cet esprit jeune…

Show me what you tweet and I’ll tell you who you are .Scientists from the Netherlands developed a software which can find out which gender and how old the twitterer is, only by analyzing his tweets.

An Internet program, which is able to decode the twitter message, has been developped. By decoding the message, the program can find out the age and gender. Dong Nguyen, linguist from the University of Twente explained that about 3000 tweets were analyzed and the gender and the age were known by the scientists. This information is necessary for the development of the program.
