Alibaba: Le géant du web chinois

En passe de devenir la plus grande puissance économique du monde, la Chine tient tête à ses grands rivaux. En effet, le marché du commerce électronique chinois devance désormais celui des États Unis. Le géant Alibaba a fait ses premiers pas dans le petit appartement d’un professeur d’anglais ne savant même pas utiliser un ordinateur. Le groupe domine actuellement le marché mondial du commerce en ligne « business to business ».
Pour ceux qui ne le connaissent pas, le groupe Alibaba est une société chinoise de commerce électronique fondée en 1999, près de Shanghai.

Responsabiliser les intermédiaires, la nouvelle arme d'Hadopi.

Nous sommes dans une ère ou la télévision traditionnelle appelée également linéaire est amenée a disparaître. En effet, Internet permet aux consommateurs avertis, impatients et exigeants de ne plus avoir à subir le diktat de la programmation télévisuelle.  Entre la vidéo à la demande -VOD-, le replay et aujourd’hui la vidéo par souscription mensuelle -SVOD-, le choix est énorme.

Les réseaux sociaux : nouvelle arme de la propagande djihadiste 2.0

Lutter contre le terrorisme tout en garantissant la liberté d’expression, concilier la sécurité des internautes et les libertés fondamentales du numérique, voilà les nouvelles difficultés auxquelles vont être confrontés les réseaux sociaux et plus généralement l’internet.
Il semblerait que les terroristes de l »Etat Islamique aient décidé d’utiliser en leur faveur les réseaux sociaux, tant pour recruter, faire de la propagande (poster des photos de djihadistes posant au soleil par exemple) que pour terrifier.réseaux sociaux, internet, législation, terrorisme (suite…)

Is Netflix a revolution ?

On Monday, it will be one month and half since Netflix settled in France. Call it a short time to judge a revolution. Still, has this long-awaited revolution truly occurred?
Victim of its success in the US, the On-Demand subscription platform, contemplated a bright entrance across the Atlantic. Such a rich catalog appeared to be a strong weapon in conquering one of the most important video consumption markets in Europe: France.

The digital single market

The Single Market is one of the main achievements of the European Union. It allows the removal of barriers and the simplification of rules to achieve its goal of free movement of goods, persons, services and capital.

The financial and economic crisis has hit all economies and across all sectors. The single market is an asset to boost the economy of the Member States. Le moteur de recherche Google, voulant élargir son public, travaille sur l’élaboration de comptes Gmail pour les enfants.

Acquiring bitcoins
Bitcoins can be bought and sold (ie. exchanged for real currency) to and from individuals or companies. Most known platforms like Bitstamp, Mt.Gox, Btc-e and BtcChina use a bid / ask system.
Today’s value is $461 US for 1 BTC, but this is subject to high fluctuation.
We have seen this exchange rate going from $5 in May 2012 to $1150 in December 2013.
Legality
The only country where Bitcoin is illegal is Iceland. However, many other states decided to restrict its use. For instance in China, since December 5, 2013, financial institutions are forbidden to handle Bitcoin transactions. They cannot give pricing in Bitcoin or buy and sell the currency. This statement was the cause of a crash of the bitcoin exchange rate.
In Germany, bitcoin has become an official currency, a way for the German government to perceive tax on it. Profits from this money are subject to an income tax granted at a 25% level and businesses that would use this money will be required to pay a VAT amount for each transaction.
In the United States, the Internal Revenue Service announced in March 2014 that bitcoin would be a form of property rather than a currency, meaning that every transaction where Bitcoin is used as payment would be subjected to capital gains tax and that bitcoin mining would be taxed as well.
