As far as children’s hobbies are concerned, we are in a constant evolution. Samsung has just announced the Galaxy Tab 3 kids.
In fact, Samsung is evolving on the road of attractiveness and evolution, this lovely tablet is a brightly colored variation of the 7 inch Galaxy tab 3 that comes preloaded with apps and content for children.
As far as technical details are concerned, the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids has a 7-inch, 1024 x 600 screen, and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. There’s a 3-megapixel camera on the back and a 1-megapixel camera on the front, along with 8 GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot. There’s no network connectivity. It comes loaded with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), but that will likely be unrecognizable beneath all of Samsung’s software customizations.
Much like Amazon has done with the Kindle Fire HD, Samsung is including a time management feature that allows parents to set specific time periods during which the tablet can be used. In order to do this, there is a password-protected lock screen, only parents can unlock the device. This tablet also has a great choice of applications such as education, gaming, entertainment, and e-book reading
The parents have a real management role, in fact parents can select the applications they want to allow in order to control what their kids do on their tablet. The manager application is a great idea in order to reassure parents because restrictions can be made.
The Galaxy Tab Kids comes with a child-friendly grip along the outside, protecting the tablet and making it easier for kids to hold. The included C Pen allow children to draw on the tablet’s screen without fear of damage.
As far as dates are concerned, The Galaxy Tab 3 Kids will be available in early September in Korea first and then it will appear in U.S., Europe, China, Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia. We have no idea yet of the price of this Galaxy Tab 3 Kids.
