Google to Finally Make Rich Communication Service the Native Format for Messages around the World

Is it the end of text messages as we know it? In Barcelona, at the Mobile World Congress, Google announced on the 23rd of March 2017 the approval by many carriers and device manufacturers to make RCS the new native format for phone messaging on any android device – including wearables – by interconnecting with Jibe, the Google cloud plateform for messages.
