Alors que le nombre de “mobinautes” est passé de 51 à 66 pour cent de la population mondiale entre 2016 et 2017, plus de 80 pour cent des entreprises ont investi dans une application mobile pour proposer leurs services. Cependant, les utilisateurs se servent de plus en plus des messageries instantanées. Google to Finally Make Rich Communication Service the Native Format for Messages around the World

Is it the end of text messages as we know it? In Barcelona, at the Mobile World Congress, Google announced on the 23rd of March 2017 the approval by many carriers and device manufacturers to make RCS the new native format for phone messaging on any android device – including wearables – by interconnecting with Jibe, the Google cloud plateform for messages. Incorporating new functions as group chat, live video, file sharing or payment, it will compete with IP-based instant messaging without any applications to be downloaded, it is likely to create new uses for users and a new market to tackle, far beyond plain text.
