You are currently viewing The integration of AI into the cardiac condition monitoring process

In December 2024, Implicity, a medtech specializing in supporting individuals with cardiac conditions, received authorization from the French National Authority for Health also call « Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS) » in french  for the brand name registration of its platform dedicated to cardiac remote monitoring.

Who is Implicity?

Implicity is a MedTech company founded in 2017. In 2021, in partnership with Withings, Implicity launched a telemonitoring platform for cardiac surveillance. Its technology is based on a machine learning system, enabling enhanced monitoring and predictive insights.

A key player in the remote monitoring of patients with implantable cardiac devices, Implicity is the leading contributor to the ETAPES program (Expérimentations de Télémédecine pour l’Amélioration des Parcours En Santé – Telemedicine Experimentations for the Improvement of Healthcare Pathways).

Implicity has successfully adapted its business model, notably by securing reimbursement for its device from the French national health insurance system (Assurance Maladie).

A New stage in the development of this  promising Medtech

The French National Authority for Health has approved Implicity’s registration as a brand name.

Brand-name registration is a process that allows a medical device to be specifically recognized for reimbursement by Assurance Maladie, rather than being classified under a generic category. This process applies when the product does not fit into any existing generic line or when it provides a significant improvement in patient care.

In the case of Implicity, the favorable opinion was granted due to its significant contribution to improving patient care.

Indeed, the use of a single platform for monitoring people suffering from heart disease, combined with AI integration, enhances patient follow-up and care quality.
