PlayStation Now arrivera l’année prochaine en Europe

Depuis la première annonce en juin, Sony communique à nouveau sur PlayStation Now, le service de streaming qui permettra aux utilisateurs de PlayStation 4 de jouer instantanément sur leur console sans avoir besoin d’acheter un disque ou de télécharger des fichiers volumineux. La société a confirmé lors de la Gamescom, un salon international consacré au jeu vidéo, que le service PlayStation Now arrivera en Europe en 2015.
PlayStation Now se base sur la technologie Gaikai, une plateforme de streaming de jeux que Sony avait racheté en 2012. Elle permet de faire tourner à distance des jeux sur des serveurs puissants et de transmettre uniquement l’image du jeu à l’utilisateur final. (suite…)

Free Wi-Fi in "Roissybus"

Since August 4th, passengers of « Roissybus » linking the city of Paris and the airport of « Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle » get free Wi-Fi network. It will be experienced until February 2015 thanks to a partnership concluded by R.A.T.P. and Orange.

A test justified by different reasons…
R.A.T.P. makes its free Wi-Fi buses available for tourists. Practised for 6 months, this service must contribute tourists to check some news on Internet for their holidays in Paris without waiting to be in the departure lounge or in their hotel. Indeed, they profit from a free connexion for thirty minutes during the road linking the station « Paris Opera » to the airport of « Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle » and vice versa. It corresponds to the half time used to cover this distance. In addition to this, this service is offered by the advertising board called « Média Transports » in R.A.T.P. If the test of this service will be conclusive, its financing will be permanent thanks to advertising. (suite…)

FAA bans startup like Uber for planes

Flytenow or Airpooler would like to be the Uber for planes, or may be a little bite more like blablacar in France. Even if the sharing economy should promise a great future, authorities could decide differently.
Airpooler asked the Federal Aviation Administration if his service: letting private pilots offering free seats to people for a ride, is legal. Not totally free, because there are some fees, the only compensation is money for gas.
The start-up needs a clarification because in 1963, a rule allowed a private pilot to ask people if they would like to fly and share the cost with him. But now, thank to internet, these startups act more like commercial companies ,when they publicly offer seats to private pilots ,publishing their flights date and destinations with a corresponding fee.
airpooler On one hand, passengers see the availability and the cost of the flight, and on the other hand it could encourages the captain to choose an attractive destination to ensure a good filling of the plane. (suite…)
