This new interface is called FMA1127 – a touch sensor controller that converts capacitance generated between the human body and a conductive touch pad to digital data without any analog signal processing. Oledcomm is a Parisian start-up which has spent the last two years working with “Li-Fi”: a “light fidelity”. At the heart of this technology is a new generation on high brightness light-emitting diodes. The solution consists on sending data through a LED light bulb that varies in intensity faster than the human eye can follow. Even using a basic modem connected to this bulb is enough to send information to the computer via a light sensor. These sophisticated techniques develop a speed intensity of over 500 megabytes per second which is already 150 times the speed of Wi-Fi connection.

FIFA vient d’utiliser pour la première fois les systèmes d’alerte « GoalRef » et « Hawk-Eye », censés indiquer aux arbitres s’il y a but ou non. Ceci lors des matches de la Coupe du Monde des Clubs, qui s’est tenue au Japon du 6 au 16 décembre 2012.
Le système GoalRef, développé par une compagnie germano-danoise, définit s’il y a but ou non à l’aide de capteurs magnétiques qui analysent le mouvement d’un ballon spécialement conçu. Quant à Hawk-Eye, connu du grand public grâce à son utilisation dans le tennis et le cricket, le ballon est suivi par des caméras qui reproduisent instantanément la trajectoire et l’arrêt du ballon.
