China plans to build a megawatt solar power station in space
Following the successful completion of a world-famous exploration of the back of the moon, China is preparing to build a solar power station in space.
As the second largest economy in the world, China has been working hard to improve its status as a superpower. After successfully completing a world-famous exploration of the back of the moon, China is preparing to build a solar power station in space. China’s space program has a budget of about $ 8 billion per year, in second place after the United States. It can be seen that China is conducting all-round competition with the United States in the economic, military, scientific and technological fields.
According to relevant media reports, China has formulated a special plan to build a megawatt-scale solar power station in a space orbit 36,000 kilometers away from the earth. It absorbs the sun’s rays, converts them into electricity, and sends them back to Earth.
Once this solar power plant is fully operational, it can provide a steady stream of energy to the planet. In fact, the China Academy of Space Technology Corporation has stated that the power station should “reliably provide 99% of energy, which is six times stronger than solar power on Earth.”
At present, Chinese scientists have begun to build relevant experimental bases in Chongqing. According to official explanations, China ’s space solar power station plan will be divided into several stages. The initial stage is to build a small power station in the stratosphere from 2021 to 2025. The second stage is to build a 1 MW space in 2030 Level of solar power stations, the subsequent stages will gradually build more space power facilities.
