Still waiting for 5G ? What about 6G in China ?

There are no two opinions about the speed, at which the technology is changing at the time that it will advance even more in the upcoming years !

5G has generated enthusiasm in the United States, where flows remain very uneven on the territory. It was promised to be 30 times faster than fourth-generation networks and ten times more than an average American home network. A two-hour movie, for example, can be downloaded in about ten seconds.

While we haven’t known yet exactly what life will be like with 5G, China is already thinking about the next era .

The country is ahead of the deployment of 5G, the new generation of mobile internet network. While its launch was expected for 2020, the service was made available throughout the country by the end of October 2019, which is damaging the pledge of the United States, who offers the service only in very localized areas.

The information is more than official since it comes from the head of the working group on 5G in Beijing, it was the Minister of Science and Technology who announced that the government would set up a team in 2019 to develop the 6G. He appointed a panel of thirty-seven specialists from universities, institutions and companies, who are charged to lay the foundation for the development of 6G and to test its feasibility.

What big difference compared to 5G ?

The 6G would allow transmission speeds up to ten times faster than those of the 5G. Theoretically, the download speed could reach terabytes per second. Besides, 6G could also “revolutionize” the structure of wired and wireless communications networks, for example by providing coverage over larger areas or at higher altitudes.

Ready for 5G and motivated for 6G, China is therefore sending strong signals to the rest of the world, showing on its innovation capacity and its mastery of cutting-edge technological sectors, while the China-United States trade war is still underway and creating large-scale frictions.
