E-health : a new master degree on September 2019

The use of technology is becoming more and more important in our society, including in the health sector. The Lyon school of business management (EM Lyon school) and the Centre ingénierie et santé de l’école des Mines are opening a master of science Health Management and Data intelligence (Msc Health Management and Data intelligence) for the start of the 2019 academic year.

Combination of health and digital

Future health professionals should be trained and prepared to technological developments in their domains of activity. It is with this in mind that EM Lyon school and the Centre ingénierie et santé de l’école des Mines had the idea of proposing a 18 months training to acquire skills and being able to work in nowadays industry, strongly impacted by artificial intelligence and digital transformation.

The Msc Health Management and Data intelligence is accessible to graduates with a minimum of 4 years of higher education in pharmacy management, law, biology, or engineering. All courses will be given in English for the 60 people who will enter the master’s program, and an internship of 4 to 6 months is included.

Students will benefit from a multidisciplinary environment where they will be trained to understand and master the consequences of artificial intelligence in medecine ; as for example the impact in terms of ethic and moral regulations. They will also follow the legal evolution (General Data Protection Regulation) and the change of health ecosystem, etc.

In their professional career they will participate in the transformation generated by Big data and digital technologies. The world of health needs professionals capable of bringing together digital and medecine to improve patient care and facilitate their daily life.
