The content sharing platform Pinterest has launched its new analytic tool for businesses. Pinterest itself says that they want to help their users understand which content people find most interesting. It is available for free since the 12th march, but only for the accounts with a verified website.

Businesses can now find out which content people are pinning from their website, how many people did, and how many have seen those pins.
Launched one year ago, Pinterest already counts among the most used social networks in the world. The site is especially popular among women aged 25-44.

Since November 2012, companies can set up their “business account” which is slightly different from the “normal” account
This leads to a growing number of companies using this social platform to promote their products. The Pinterest Webanalytics will even more strengthen the relationship between companies and Pinterest.
This new tool could also be the base for money–making features like an advertising system. Ben Silbermann, the CEO of Pinterest told the Wall Street Journal last month that the platform is focusing this year on “building foundations to monetize,”
One more social network to take into account by companies, to promote their services and products.
